1.  Fire = North
     Water = South
     Earth = East
     Air = West

2.  White candle is on the north side of the altar, red candle is on the south side of the altar. The "Dark Candle" is in the southwest. (See altar.)

3.  "Sunwise" movement is east-north-west-south and "Earthward" movement is east-south-west-north.

4.  The signs are not the constellations the sun is actually in, in either northern or southern hemisphere, due to the precession of the equinoxes. Therefore the signs, for the southern hemisphere, represent the constellations that can be seen high in the sky in the middle of the night.

5.  When reading our rituals, ignore the compass direction in the text and remember to use the element or tool as written, while using the compass direction appropriate for this in the southern hemisphere.

6.  For the Deities' altars the tools are placed, according to the element, in the appropriate quadrant for your hemisphere. (See table of altars.)

7.  The Four Kingdoms are located according to the elements in the appropriate direction for the southern hemisphere. (See "the Four Kingdoms as they fit the Wheel.)
