TYPE OF DECK: Modern interpretation, drawing from the symbolism of the Thoth and Rider-Waite Decks.
ARTISTIC STYLE: Modern stylized blockprints.
DECK BOOKLET: Can hardly be called a booklet, more of a book.
BOOK: The book comes with the deck and explains all the symbols in the deck. It also give interpretations for the cards, appropriate verses and illustrations. (208 pages)
SHUFFLE-ABILITY:A little difficult to shuffle, because of the width of the cards. The height is a little over the border as well, but not extremely so. (10.75 x 14 cm.)
QUALITY OF PRINTING: Good printing; stark black and white. Could have been on a heavier card stock.
ADDITIONAL SYMBOL SYSTEMS: Incorporates symbols from a variety of traditions, e.g. Celtic, Native American, East Indian, African and Medieval European.
ACCESSORIES / PACKAGE: Case type of box, very sturdy, book fits nicely inside with cards.
BEST POINTS: Beautiful artwork, with a sense of humor.
WORST POINTS: Because of the size of the cards, it should have been printed on a thicker card stock. The cards are also uncoated.
REVIEWER'S COMMENTS: The size of the cards makes it difficult to do any of the larger spreads. They are easy to read with, for beginner and experienced alike, having pictorial representations on every card. The cards have a very positive feel to them, probably due to the use of humor in their depictions.
