The Three Villains
(Mask, One-eye and Archiver)
The Three Villains are
the Gods that kill the Divine Lord. They are often perceived as evil, because of their
destructive tendencies. Mask is the God of our small egos, which are built up over a
lifetime, only to be torn away by him. One-eye is the God of dogma, perceiving things in
only one way while ignoring all others. Archiver is the God of the intellect, working from
the belief that everything that exists can be somehow cataloged and made to fit into neat
little boxes, leaving no spillover and no need for the intuitive faculty.
In killing the Divine
Lord, though, they also kill in him all these traits, and so, release him from the Tower
to the experience of illumination seen as the fire breaking forth at its top.
