This is the God that is responsive to ritual. The ways he is familiar with are set and should not be altered. His domain is tradition and religion, in the most common ways of thinking of these, which are formal and often dogmatic.
The more positive aspect of this deity is that he represents ancient teachings handed down to us. He enables us by NOT requiring us to re-invent the wheel before making new discoveries of our own. The walls he creates are the well known words of rituals, which protect the weak and yet, challenge the strong and independent.
